1. A Note from the Publisher

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Bad news ... and Great news!

Regrettably, we had to cancel our July Toronto

TESOL course because of insufficient registrations.

We want to put this course on in Toronto but need a

minimum number of students to do so.

We are truly excited to tell you about the new dimensions

that we have added to the institute. In addition to our

TESOL course, we are now offering a COTE course,

several business and management courses, TESOL online

and an incredible business opportunity. Visit our completely revamped website and see the difference.

2. New COTE Certificate Course

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Our new Certificate for Overseas Teachers of English

(COTE) is now available by distance. We are also

working at putting this online. This is similar to our

TESOL course but has an additional emphasis on

pronunciation, Intonation and English Idioms. The

course is designed for teachers whose first language is

not English and who was not brought up in an English-

speaking country. Go to our website for details.

3. Tips for Teachers: What Else can you Teach?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

ESL teachers abroad often find themselves being asked to teach other subjects: Science, Math, History, Geography, e.g. Before accepting a position overseas, ask yourself "What else could I teach?’ If you CAN teach other subjects, you make yourself more valuable to schools. Like having a TESOL Certificate, being capable of teaching more the ESL will give you an edge over other candidates. What subjects interest you? You might want to take a reference text or two with you. You never know when these will come in handy!
